2024 : NVE Dental Remodel (Cordova, Alaska)

The general scope of services is to provide all materials, equipment, and labor to renovate approximately 1,400 sq-ft of existing space to convert for use in dental services as well as the added renovation of 420 sq-ft Lab on the second floor.

2021 : Valdez Fire Station 1 (Valdez, Alaska)

Fire station with ten door apparatus bay, six dorm rooms, gym, training rooms, offices and training tower. Systems included APS fire alerting system, Access control, CCTV, PA, Fire Alarm, Back up power, Data, and automated door/street sign system.

2020 : Yakutat Community Health Center (Yakutat, Alaska)

Construct New Health Center, to include wellness center, Paramedic Area, Dental, onsite lab and backup power provided with a 150Kw Generator. This project is only accessible via monthly barges in the winter months and has ferry access through the winter so extreme care must be taken with materials, coordination and transit.

2018 : Fisher House II (JBER, Alaska)

Owner’s design of this two level 12,300 square foot, 16 bedroom guest house for use by service members and/or their families, free of cost, while recuperating from injury or illness.

2018 : The Children’s Place (Wasilla, Alaska)

The Children’s Place project integrated mental health staff with OCS, Alaska State troopers, medical staff under one roof to assist children in crisis. Project consisted of security, backup power, separate data systems for different agencies, and court admissible recording systems.

2017 : Joe Redington High School (Wasilla, Alaska)

CM/GC Design Assist JR/SR Highschool with Vo tech style welding / wood / engine shops, auditorium, gyms, classrooms, laboratories, and illuminated football field. Project also included a fire water tower with pump controls. Equipment included a 1 Meg generator, fire alarm, security, Stage A/V system, lighting controls, PA, smartboards, and other specialty systems.

2016 : Trailer Craft of Anchorage (Anchorage, Alaska)

This project consisted of a two-story 34,500 square-foot office, store front, warehouse, Class I Div II (16) truck bays with overhead doors, (1) wash bays, fueling stations and tanks. Coordination was done with the Local Utility to extend new power to a 600A, 480V, three-phase main electrical service, all feeders and conductors were provided as copper.

2015 : Buckner Physical Fitness Facility Expansion (Ft. Richardson, Alaska)

We are providing the complete wiring for an enclosed water park. It will include pool pumps, wave pool, lazy river, water slide, wading area, and chemical machines. There are many pieces of exercise equipment, a free weight area, and a full size gymnasium. The special systems include a fire alarm system, public address system, and phone/data.

2013 : FTR269B Brigade Complex (JBER, Alaska)

The Brigade Complex project is a design-build with a out-of-state contractor, Korte/Purcell JV. We are part of the design team and are working closely with both the engineers and the construction team. This is a LEEDs project that has all the expected disciplines including; service and distribution, telcom data, fire alarm, CCTV, outside Plant, testing and quality control.

2012 : Nullagvik Hotel (Kotzebue, Alaska)

New design/build 4-story wood frame construction with 75 hotel rooms. Installed complete electrical work including fire alarm system, tel/data raceway system, TV distribution system, 2000 amp building service with aluminum feeder cables, full blown kitchen area and meeting rooms with AV rough-in.

2012 : Warriors-in-Transition Complex (Ft. Richardson, Alaska)

New design/build 80-man ADA compliant barracks, battalion headquarters, company head quarters building and a solder family assistance center building. 6,713 SF Soldier Family Assistance Center, 48,989 SF ADA compliant 80PN Barracks, 8,030 SF Battalion Head Quarters, 9,020 SF Company Head Quarters, over 1 mile of fiber optic and copper plant extension, SIRPNET with holocom raceways. Installation of complete fire alarm, mass notification, area of refuge communications, data systems and SIPRNET VIA holocom raceways.

2011 : Rural CAP Karluk Manor (Anchorage, Alaska)

Tenant improvements to 48 unit project to serve chronic homeless alcoholics. Improvements to include the addition of an elevator, mechanical upgrades, new CCTV & intercom systems as well as upgrades to the existing fire alarm system.

2010 : Building 8515 Alterations (Fort Richardson, Alaska)

Complete remodel and upgrades to existing building. New fire alarm system for remodeled portion of the building tied into the existing fire alarm system. Installed new lighting, power and telephone/data systems. Installed new vindicator security system for weapons vault.

2010 : Design/Build 7 and 8 Bay F22 Shelters (Elmendorf AFB, Alaska)

This project consists of two F22 Shelters, one 7-Bay at 47,832 square feet with 14 Mega Doors and one 8-Bay at 54,344 square feet with 16 Mega Doors. We furnished complete Electrical Engineering and supplied Performance and Payment Bonds. Both shelters have full Fire Alarm Systems with Monaco transmitter and antenna to communicate to the Base Monaco receiver and complete Fire Suppression Systems.

2009 : Blueberry Area Water & Street Improvement (Palmer, Alaska)

This project consists of furnishing and installing 35 street light poles. They have state of the art LED fixtures from BETA Company. The poles are located throughout 6 city streets in Palmer AK. Two 100 amp, fully enclosed load centers are included to power the new lighting. HDPE and Rigid conduit was used with #8 and #6 illumination cables for the wiring.

2009 : Hangars #10 and #11-EAFB (Elmendorf Air Force Base, Alaska)

This project consists of remodeling two existing Hangers and wiring for a new foam fire suppression systems pump room building.  Includes re-wiring the existing high voltage primary system, installing new transformers and building services, and complete removal of the existing light fixtures and installing new HID lighting.

2008 : Dena’ina Convention & Civic Center (Anchorage, Alaska)

This project consists of a three-story 212,260 square foot Class “A” Convention Facility.  It has a 50,000 square foot exhibit hall, 25,000 square foot ballrooms and meeting rooms with complete dimming system, huge lobby area and full scale kitchen area with walk-in coolers/freezers. 

2008 : Sockeye Inn (Anchorage, Alaska)

This project consists of a new 3-story, 18,812 square foot Boarding House/Hotel. It has a complete fire alarm, telephone/data, CCTV and door entry control systems installed. This is a first class extended stay type facility that has an appearance of salmon scales on the outside skin, quite unique for Alaska.

2007 : Anchorage Rental Car Center (Anchorage, Alaska)

This project consisted of a three story 581,000 square foot parking garage with a rental car lobby, twelve car washes, vacuum systems, fueling stations, canopy and tanks.  It has a CCTV camera security system, duress phone system and complete fire alarm system. 

2007 : Aleutian Pribilof Island Association (APIA) Office Building (Anchorage, Alaska)

This project consisted of a 3-story, 39,000 square foot Class ‘A’ office building. This project included an integrated CCTV, card access, security and fire alarm systems. It has a full executive board room with a design build AV System and IFS panels were used to reduce the foot print of the switch gear and the electrical rooms allowing the customer more space for actual offices.

2007 : Hooper Bay K-12 School (Hooper Bay, Alaska)

This project consisted of a two-story 75,000 square foot K-12 School Building.  It has the latest state of the art CCTV, clock/IC/PA, security access, fire alarm, MATV and telephone/data Systems.  It has a full kitchen with walk-in cooler and freezers, a complete up to date shop area, full gymnasium, cafeteria area, back-up standby generator system and a lift station.

2007 : FAA Tower Fire Alarm Upgrades (Anchorage, Alaska)

This project consisted of a complete fire alarm upgrade with the facility under full use and was performed under conditions that had zero tolerance for shutdowns or mistakes.   Megawatt’s field foreman and project manager worked very closely with FAA representatives and the fire alarm contractor to insure that the primary goals of safety and reliability were met.

2006 : Alutiiq Center (Anchorage, Alaska)

This project consisted of a five-story 81,000 square foot class “A” office building with a 64,000 square foot two story parking garage adjacent to the office building.  It has a Full Card Access System, CCTV, MATV, Fire Alarm and Telephone/Data systems along with two state of the art Board Rooms and back-up Generator System for the Elevators.

Fall 2025 : Install PEB and Wash Rack (JBER, Alaska)

This project is to construct a new heated pre‐engineered building (PEB) Wash Rack facility. Work consists of design and construction of a new concrete foundation, design and assembly of an insulated PEB, fastening the PEB to the concrete slab, installation of wash rack and all associated water, water heater, water storage, pumps/motors washing devices …

Fall 2025 : Replace UST with AST MSU (Valdez, Alaska)

Marine Safety Office: Demolition and removal of underground fuel storage tank and replacing it with a new 3,000 gallon above ground storage tank at the Marine Safety Office. Includes a new canopy with Class 1 Div II lighting and electronic tank monitoring.
Cutter Support Building: Demolition and removal of an underground storage tank that supplied fuel to the building heating system. installation of a new 480v service on the building to support a new electric boiler to heat the building.

Spring 2025 – Heavy Equipment Shop

Owner: Qayak Construction General Contractor: H. WATT & SCOTT Square Footage: 13,806 Completion: Spring 2025 Heavy Equipment Shop with Building includes, vehicle maintenance bays, heavy equipment bays, full mezzanine with parts storage and multiple office spaces.

Fall 2024 : 601 West 5th Ave. (Anchorage, Alaska)

Complete gut, expansion, and remodel of the old Key Bank building on 5th Ave. Project consisted of all new switchgear, back up power, fire command center, exterior LED accent lighting, new lobby and common areas, and light controls.

Spring 2023 : JBER Renovate Building 952 (JBER, Alaska)

Joint Base Elmendorf‐Richardson (JBER) is located on the northern edge of Anchorage, Alaska and is accessible from the Glenn highway at Boniface Parkway. The project location is on the Richardson side of the installation at Building 952. This project shall be accomplished as an Open Market General Construction Design Build (D-B) Project.
